We are looking for a talented Senior Software QA Engineer (SDET) with a depth of experience and proficiency working with automation (Selenium) and QA processes. The successful candidate will drive consumer outcomes by iterating closely with engineers across the business to ensure a high-quality user experience for NerdWallet products. You will triage product issues, evaluate the quality of product features with manual and automated testing, and debug software problems. SDETs at NerdWallet are creative engineers who like the challenge of working on different fast-moving projects and ensure a proper testing and validation is a part of the development process.

Where you can make an impact:
Review and critique software specifications to ensure we ship best-in-class consumer-facing products
Design and execute test cases using functional requirements
Automate existing tests and contribute new functionality to our automation framework
Find and file defects and verify fixes
Work with software engineers to develop tools to assist testing, per QA requirements
Suggest and implement process improvements and quality matrix
Collaborate with offshore QA team on automation and ongoing projects

BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
Previous work experience as a software engineer in test and relevant automation experience with both unit and E2E tests
Experience with front-end and E2E testing automation tools such as WebDriver, SauceLabs, Selenium, etc
Experience working on AWS technologies and testing client, SOA (service oriented architecture) and data quality
Highly proficient in Linux/Ubuntu environment
Proficient and comfortable in GIT
Preferred Experience in testing mobile web, single page applications, and native iOS/Android applications
Preferred Experience with performance and load testing
