Our Engineering Operations’ team is seeking an experienced, collaborative, and attentive developer who can help us on our quest to build behavioral and operational insight tooling to enable R&D leadership to make quick and accurate decisions. We want our teams to be the best they can be and we strongly believe easy access to data enables continuous improvement at all levels. The tooling will span from raising visibility of team membership, their current quests, visualizing service ownership & real-time architecture, team productivity metrics to making the complexities of our Amazon Web Services spend easier for teams to understand and optimize. This person will be located at our newest engineering site in Belfast, Ireland.
As a foundational member of the team, you will:
-Work with UX designers, analysts, engineers, engineering managers and technical program managers to design, scope and build new features
-Learn, observe and engage directly with users to get an understanding of how they use the product and their respective needs
-Run experiments to improve operational data and empower decisions on trusted metrics
-Lay down the initial architecture and code for the platform and become the technical authority
-Establish and refine the way the team works
Essential criteria necessary for the role:
-Right to work in the United Kingdom
-Bachelor’s degree - Computer Science or equivalent
-Proven results-oriented person with a track record of delivery, able to demonstrate this through your application and at interview
-Experience with React is a plus
-Experience with Amazon Web Services such as EC2, S3, Redshift, CloudFormation, API Gateway and Lambda is a plus
-Experience with code repo - GitHub or similar a plus
-Familiarity with tools like gulp and grunt tools a plus
-Experience using or implementing CI/CD pipeline, especially Jenkins a plus
-Experience with MongoDB or any NoSQL store is a plus

The mission of the Engineering Operations team is to surface the right information, the right way, so folks can make data-informed decisions from the team level to the portfolio level. We aim to build and support intelligent self-service systems, analytics, and smart tools that leverage a diverse landscape of internal Bazaarvoice services. We are a small team with big aspirations.
